Cinecittà Film Studios – Ancient Rome Set (Rome, Italy)

The set of Ancient Rome is one of the largest outdoor sets in Europe, covering almost ten acres. This set was used to film HBO TV series Rome and Showtime’s The Borgias, as well as BBC’s Doctor Who Series 4 episode “The Fires of Pompeii” with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. (more)
