Oh noooo, sleep paralysis is the worst. I had it a couple times and was genuinely convinced I was being attacked by demons. Is there anything you can do to have it happen less? Because that really sucks.

Yes it sucks but after a while you kind of get used to it??? Luckily I never get hallucinations, those must be really terrifying and I’m sorry for the people who have to put up with them too, I really hope it doesn’t happen to you again. For me it’s just paralysis, which is still not exactly fun because you usually get stuck in some uncomfortable position and can’t breath and need to put some super extra efforts to just be able to move again. I’ve always been a little afraid of sleeping so when I started experiencing this I was quite scared, but once you know what’s happening and that it’s okay it becomes way less scary.

I think that the only things you can do to make it happen less is to be less stressed, less tired and have a regular sleeping schedule. I have it a lot (like every other night) when I’m stressed out and worried about something or lose sleep because of uni/work, otherwise it only happens every few weeks and it’s just routine at this point. Anyway, I hope you won’t experience it again 🙂
