I don’t think anyone’s dying this Christmas. Peter Capaldi has signed up for season 9 and Clara dying was to set up the Impossible Girl arc. I think this episode will be angsty in other ways but I don’t think Clara and Twelve are in serious danger. (At least I hope not)

We also have Jenna saying things like “I’d like to do more with the weeping angles, I feel like I’ve not done a lot with those guys yet” and “my first thought was, if I don’t say bow ties are cool will Steven Moffat fire me” during the conventions she did in October AFTER she finished filming the Christmas episode. Those don’t sound like the words of someone who’s not coming back next season.
